N4 Nelspruit Northern Ring Road

SNA was involved in the Detail design, contract documentation and construction monitoring of the N4 Nelspruit Northern Ring Road.

The approximate value of the project was:

Section 1: R360 million   ($48 Million)
Section 2: R200 million   ($27 Million)
Section 3: R148 million   ($20 Million)

The scope of works included:

Preliminary Design, Section 1, 2 & 3
  • Road between Hall’s Gateway and Karino, Length 19.41Km.
Detail and Construction Monitoring, Section 2
  • Construction of 3,97Km of singe carriageway road and surfacing with a double seal.
  • Construction of three major bridges, overpass bridge, deep gorge bridge and bridge crossing the Crocodile River.
  • Construction of Implement underpass and minor culverts and lines drains for drainage.
Detail and Construction Monitoring, Section 3
  • Construction of 7,24Km of single carriageway road and surfacing with a double seal.
  • Construction of two major bridges, over railway line and over the Rietspruit.
  • Construction of four major cell structures and minor culverts and lined drained for drainage
